There are over seven million truckers who have sacrificed his/her family, home and resemblance of normal life, they live work and sleep in tiny cubicles, many times they litterally are stuck in their truck for several days, reaching a drop off destination only to layover at some truckstop with few amentities and little to do. Lonliness becomes part of each drivers persona.
The credit and gratitude these men and women of the highway deserves may never be delivered by us the consumer, however by documenting Susanne Spirit and these men and women during a portion of her "Love Tour" will certainly offer a fascinating look into the lives of these very essential folks...Susanne Spirit and Greenland Global Music created "I Love My Truck Driv'in Man" CD and "Love Tour" concerts to give to these highway troops a moment of rest, peace and pleasant memory to carry with them in their travels. It has been a marvel to witness so many men and women far away from their families sit and listen for awhile to Ms. Spirit's music and suddenly need to contact family and friends.
After hearing a song that touches one of these folks, often times they get on the phone and call someone close to them, and hold the phone out to share the moment. And as Ms. Spirit signs autographs she finds out the warmth of these individuals and gets to hear their wonderful stories that we hope to share with the world. Susanne has stories of how truckers helped her and her Mom on travels across the United States, and truly cares for them.
